Anderson habite avec nous depuis le 7 Janvier 2013.
Après la mort de sa mère, dû au SIDA, le 5 Janvier 2013, Anderson a été placé dans notre orphelinat puisque plus personne ne pouvait prendre soins de lui. Ses deux parents sont décédés et il a de la famille en province, mais qui ne pourrait pas lui administrer les médicaments nécessaire pour sa maladie du VIH, ce qui résulterait en l'incapacité de marcher. Déjà ses genoux étaient très enflés et il avait de la difficulté pour marcher. Le problème de ses genoux est un résultat de la maladie puisqu'il ne prenait pas bien son traitement. Il a un surplus de liquide qui se forme dans les genoux, qui lui cause de la douleur et des inflammations. 
Il est suivi par un othopediste, qui lui piquait une grosse seringue dans les genoux pour retirer le liquide et ensuite lui injectait de la cortisone pour diminuer la douleur. Anderson marche beaucoup mieux depuis qu'il est avec nous, et n'a pratiquement plus aucune douleur. Il prend bien ses medicaments, ce qui aide a sa guérison. Même ses boutons et plaques disparaissent. Il est présentement incapable d'aller à l'école mais devrait être inscrit pour l'année prochaine si le progrès continue dans ses jambes.

After his mother’s death, due to AIDS, on January 05 2013, Anderson has been placed at our orphanage since no one could take care of him. Both his parents are dead and he has family in the countryside, but if he would go to live with them he would be unable to take his medication, which would soon make him unable to walk. He has problems with his knees as a follow-up of not taking his medication properly. He has a surplus of liquid in his knees which causes inflation and pain. He is being followed by an orthopedist who has been taking out the liquid with a syringe and giving him cortisone shots to decrease the pain. Anderson walks much better now and practically has no more pain. He still has a lot of little scabs and rashes on his skin but that will get better after some time if he continues to take his medication properly. He is still unable to go to school, but should be attending for the next school year if the improvement in his legs continues.
