Marie-Djounie Emmelande Jean-Claude

Marie-Djounie est avec nous depuis le 17 Juin 2011.

 Elle est la deuxième enfant à être arrivée à l'orphelinat. Elle est la première à nous avoir été confiée par l'assistante sociale de l'hopital. Marie-Djounie habitait avec sa mère, son père étant décédé. Sa mère n'avait pas d'emploi stable mais avait quand même réussit à envoyer Marie-Djounie en maternelle. Marie-Djounie a été hospitalisée deux mois de temps, pendant que sa mère avait la tuberculose avant d'être placée à l'orphelinat. Sa mère a continuer à vivre dans sa tente et a refusé de prendre ses médicaments nécessaires pour sa TB et son SIDA. Elle était contente et se sentait bénie que sa fille habite dans une famille aimante et qui prendrait soin d'elle. Elle est venue visiter Djounie plusieurs fois, mais la maladie continuait de ravager son corps et elle est morte à la fin de l'année 2012.

Depuis qu'elle est arrivée à l'orphelinat, Marie-Djounie continue de sourire, blaguer et à enchanter tout le monde. Elle est une petite actrice adorable.
Sa peau est maintenant presque complètement guérie et ses cheveux ont perdue leur couleur orangé.

Marie-Djounie has been with us since June 17 2011.

She is the second child to arrive at the orphanage and first to have been entrusted to us from the hospital's social assistant.She was living with her mother, her father being deceased. Her mother did not have a stable job, but had still managed to place Marie-Djounie in kindergarten. Marie-Djounie was hospitalized for two months while her mother was sick with tuberculosis before being placed at the orphanage. Her mother continued living in a tent and refused to take medication for her TB and AIDS. She was glad and felt blessed that her daughter was living in a loving home and would be well taken care of. She came to visit Djounie many times, but the sickness kept ravaging her body and she died at the end of 2012.


Since arriving at the orphanage Marie-Djounie has continued to smile, joke around and make everyone fall in love with her. She is an adorable little clown/actress. Her skin is now almost completely free of rashes and her hair has grown to be healthy and long.
