Fabienne Souverain

Fabienne vit avec nous depuis le mois de mai 2012

Elle n'a pas le SIDA. Sa mère à sept enfants et est seule pour subvenir à leurs besoins. Elle fait quelquefois un petit commerce de souliers et vêtements usagés. Nous essayons de l'aider en lui donnant des vêtements, ce qui lui permet de mettre quelques uns de ses enfants à l'école. Nous lui avons trouvé des sponsors pour que trois de ses enfants puissent aller à l'école, plus Fabienne. Fabienne habitait avec ses grand-parents à la campagne jusqu'en avril 2012. Lorsqu'elle est arrivée en ville chez sa mère, elle était une grande fille de 13 ans, forte et intelligente. À la campagne, elle allait a l'école.  Après quelques temps passer chez sa mère nous l'avons vue commencer à dépérir et perdre de sa vitalité. elle ne mangeait pas beaucoup et ne pouvait pas terminer les quelques mois d'école qu'il lui restait pour complété son année scolaire. Nous lui avons donc, trouver un parrain pour le reste de son année scolaire. Plusieurs fois, durant ce temps, la mère de Fabienne venait nous visiter et nous demandait constamment de prendre Fabienne comme employée dans notre orphelinat. Après beaucoup de prière et plusieurs refus, nous avons décidé de la prendre comme enfant à l'orphelinat, et non comme employée. Fabienne mange chaque jour et reprend des forces. Elle est redevenue la jeune fille brillante qu'elle était lors de son arrivée. elle est une telle bénédiction depuis qu'elle habite avevc nous. Elle accourt pour faire toutes les petites courses qu'il y a à faire. Elle aime rendre service et travailler avec les enfants. Elle est maintenant en sixième année et semble être très bonne.

Depuis son arrivée à l'orphelinat, Fabienne chante et sourit constamment.

Fabienne has been living with us since May 2012.

She is not HIV positive. Her mother has 7 children and acts as single mom. She sometimes has a little business selling used clothes on the street. We help by donating some clothes and shoes to her, which enables her to send some of her children to school. We have found scholarship sponsors for three of her children plus Fabienne. Fabienne had been living with her grandparents in the countryside until april 2012. When she arrived at her mother’s house, in the city, we were surprised to see a strong, smart, healthy girl show up. She had been going to school, and eating things they grew on the farm. But as time went by, we realised that since arriving from the countryside, she was not eating a lot and wasn’t able to further her studies. We found a sponsor for the rest of the school year, but we could see her lose vitality and life as time passed. After many encounters with her mother, where she continually asked us to take Fabienne as a live-in employee at the orphanage, we prayed and decided to accept her as a child, not employee. Fabienne has taken her strength back and is a true blessing since she lives with us. She is a little errand girl and loves to work and help. We often have to tell her to go play. She is a great help with the children and house chores. She is attending school in sixth grade and seems to be doing fine.

Since arriving at the orphanage, Fabienne is constantly singing and smiling.
